As a project they built a children's mini flight trainer to give their youngsters a "feel" of flying. For the pitch and roll movement of the flight simulator the product of choice were two Screw Jack 1.1kN TracMaster electric linear actuators. These actuators have a parallel motor configuration with keyed ram and integral limit switches as standard. The pitching actuator is clearly visible in the photo the roll actuator is hidden within the fuselage. |
